Starting with Tunisia, the Bulletin officiel du Conseil du Marché Financier number 7677 has announced that B.A GLASS B.V., which currently holds 41.28 percent of SOTUVER shares, is required to make a mandatory public offer for the remaining 17.43 percent of shares. The offer period runs from August 5 to August 26, 2026. Shareholders may submit or revoke sale orders until the offer closes on August 26. Trading of SOTUVER shares was suspended on August 3 and 4, 2026, and resumed on August 5. B.A GLASS B.V. must acquire all shares tendered during the offer within the limits of the offer.

In Canada, British Columbia authorities issued a new temporary fish-protection order effective August 19, 2026, for the Salmon River watershed. This order restricts irrigation of forage crops such as hay, alfalfa, and forage corn, and limits certain industrial water uses for 458 water licences and transitioning groundwater users. Irrigation for non-forage crops is authorized to continue.

Turning to the United States, the Department of Energy issued an emergency order authorizing PJM Interconnection and Talen Energy Corporation to operate Unit 4 at the Wagner Generating Station beyond its current operating limit. This measure is effective from August 20 through November 17, 2026. PJM and Talen Energy Corporation will coordinate to maintain grid reliability throughout this period.

Also in the United States, the Food and Drug Administration has released a discussion paper seeking public feedback to inform a potential regulatory framework for generative AI-enabled medical devices. The FDA invites comments on risk assessment frameworks, proposed premarket competency assessment approaches including non-clinical benchmarking and clinical confirmation, and risk-proportionate postmarket monitoring strategies.

In the European Union, specifically the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens has announced that from December 2027, organizations using high-risk artificial intelligence systems must conduct a Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment, or FRIA, before deployment. The FRIA must assess impacts on fundamental rights including equality, dignity, privacy, and access to essential services. Organizations are required to describe risk mitigation measures and report findings to the supervisory authority. A pilot program has been launched to help organizations gain practical experience with the FRIA process.

In China, a public notice period has commenced from August 17 to August 26, 2026, for the antitrust review of the acquisition transaction involving 康菲石油伊拉克控股有限公司 and British Petroleum Kirkuk Energy Limited. Contact information has been provided for inquiries related to this acquisition case.

Back in the United States, the Securities and Exchange Commission has ordered Ibrahim “Albert” Fouerti and Elie Fouerti to cease and desist violations of Rule 13b2-2(a) of the Exchange Act. The SEC imposed civil penalties of $75,000 for Albert Fouerti and $50,000 for Elie Fouerti for making materially false or misleading statements to auditors during Company A's 2021 financial audit. The respondents must pay these penalties within 10 days of the order, following specified payment methods and including identifying information.

Finally, in the Czech Republic, the regulatory body found Medicaderma s.r.o. guilty of unlawfully advertising prescription-only medicines, specifically Vitamin C Injektopas and Botox, to the general public via their website. Medicaderma s.r.o. has been fined and ordered to immediately remove any non-compliant advertising materials and comply with all conditions set by the advertising regulation law.
